Evergreen Language School (ELS) is a private educational institute located in Yutenji, a fervent and warm district in Meguro City, Tokyo. The area is surrounded by art galleries, modern-style Izakaya (Japanese pub) other than old-fashined shops that give to the district an aesthetic and creative feeling just when you step out the station.
ELS has been run as one of the most traditional English Language Schools in the aerea since 1949 and with such a longed experienced has offered several types of courses.
Since the school’s founding in 1949, Evergreen has introduced the language and culture of Japan to over 50,000 students from over 72 countries all over these years.

FULL-TIME INTENSIVE JAPANESE
The student visa allows people to enroll in a private or public educational institute among Japanese language schools, universities and vocational schools. In order to get a student visa, the school will complete all the paper work to allow you to enter and live in Japan!
The Intensive Japanese Course(long term) is intended for those learners who want to dedicate themselves to learning Japanese and is, therefore, held 5 times per week (Mon-Fri), in the morning or afternoon, according to students’ language level.
The status of residence will be ‘Student’, and you will, consequently, be granted a part time work permit up to 28hrs per week. The period of stay of a student visa ranges from 1 year to 2 years and 3 months maximum from the date of entry in Japan.

If you wish to study Japanese for three months, we recommend the Short-Term Intensive Course.
PRIVATE COURSE
This is class designed for those who either have difficulties in attending our regular classes or would like to study specific topics. Private courses are available at our Yutenji or Jiyugaoka campus.
